Knit

There are basically two types of knitting technologies:

Weft Knitting: Theses fabrics are most often knit in tubular form and finished either, tubular or slit open. Construction categories include Jersey, Rib, Interlock, Fleece, Terry, and Collars & Welts (V-Bed).
Warp Knitting: These fabrics are knit open width or "flat". Construction categories include Raschel, Tricot, and Simplex.

Most companies have the capability of doing only one type of knit (either weft or warp knit), and then only in limited constructions within that type.
